Parviz Morewedge earned his Ph.D. at UCLA and has taught for over forty years at several universities
in the United States, including Cornell, Columbia, UCLA, Fordham,NYU and in the State University of New
York system, as well as seminars in the United Kingdom Canada, Iran, Turkey, and Malaysia. He was employed
as a computer specialist for several years, including as a Senior Research Engineer at General Motors. His
publications in the University Presses of Oxford, Cambridge, Columbia, SUNY, NYU, Fordham, and elsewhere
include thirteen books and over 40 articles and essays. Currently, Morewedge is teaching at the Department
of Religion, Rutgers University, New Brunswick and an Editor for the Institute of Advanced Theology at Bard
College. Additionally, he is an active editorial board member of over twenty scholarly journals and series
in the history of ancient and medieval philosophy.
